Here is the latest Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (PlayStation 3) trailer. The game should be released before Christmas. No Scoobys are on the car list that I’ve seen.
My only gripe is that the driver figure doesn’t physically shift gears. Hopefully, Polyphony Digital is already addressing this.
Did you know the Volkswagen GTI was the vehicle the designers of the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX had in mind when creating the new vehicle?
For those wondering, the song in the video is “Rock Me Amadeus” by Falco.
My dad turned 63 years old on Monday.
My sister turned 25 years old today.
I thank and praise God for them!
I used “Drive” in the title because I did a whole lot more riding than driving at Subaru’s 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX “Drive the Legend” event at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, CA last Saturday.
Here’s a video of my ride-along with rally driver, Lesley Suddard, in a 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan:
It was a blessing that I had already driven the 2008 WRX when Edmunds had it because the “drive” course that was set up was very short and not very fun.
Marketing machines all dressed up!
Here’s my full gallery of photos from the event:
I went to the X Games 13 Rally event on Sunday. Here are some of the photos I took thanks to free tickets from Subaru that I got from Santa Monica Subaru.

X Games 13 is here! It actually started on Thursday and ends tomorrow with the Rally event (1:30-3:00 PM PDT on ABC).
On Thursday, Jake Brown caught some major air and helplessly crashed about 40 below. He only suffered a broken right wrist and a bruised lung. The video below is not for the faint of heart.
Tomorrow, I’m going after church to the Rally event with Derrick Ma (who turns 25 today) thanks to free tickets I got from Subaru at Santa Monica Subaru.
Here are some highlights from last year’s X Games Rally event.
1995 FIA World Rally Driver’s Champion (driving a Subaru Impreza), Colin McRae (co-driver Nicky Grist), in the #7 Sobe No Fear Subaru Impreza WRX STI (2:09 in the clip below is an amazing sight)
Not even a full day removed from performing the first ever double backflip on a motorcycle in competition, Travis Pastrana (co-driver Christian Edstrom) sought to win another gold medal in the Rally event in his #199 Red Bull Subaru Rally Team USA Subaru Impreza WRX STI.
Here’s Edmunds.com Inside Line‘s feature story on Travis:

Here’s Travis’ gold medal-winning double backflip from last year’s MotoX Best Trick competition:
Here’s the practice he put in just to be able to do the double backflip (note: the music in the clip below is pretty loud):
Here’s an excerpt from Travis’ new book, The Big Jump: The Tao of Travis Pastrana, that was printed in the July 30, 2007 issue of ESPN: The Magazine.
