I didn’t hear back from Edmunds.com today like I was supposed to. It’s really hard not to be anxious. I just have to keep trusting God and His sovereignty.
I constantly have been trying to remind myself of Philippians 4:6-7 (English Standard Version). For proper context, you should minimally read verses 2 through 9.
6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Cars comes out on DVD tomorrow!
Election Day is tomorrow. I don’t really know what’s going on. Can anyone point me in a good, Biblical direction?
Jerry Hwang‘s birthday was yesterday! Just in case you missed it, it’s never too late to drop “The General” a line! I’ll have more on Jerry later.
Election Day is tomorrow. I don’t really know what’s going on. Can anyone point me in a good, Biblical direction?Yeah: VOTE!!!Just some things to ponder…1) If you really did not think what happened during (insert the incumbent’s name’s) reign, then vote for him/her. Thats why more than 90% of incumbents who run again, win re-election. If really did not like what a politician did, you would remember that, and you would have made it a point to vote him/her out of office.2) When in doubt, vote no…I mean I guess this is cynical, but if there is a proposition that would require more taxes/bonds, and you don’t really care/know much about it, then you’ll just be inclined to think its a waste. I mean isn’t that what government does best – waste money. And we all hate increased taxes/bonds/debt, dont we? On the other hand, some propositions really help out marginalized people, and you know that’s what Jesus catered to when He was on earth.
i read that exact same verse last night. i was feeling some jitters and couldn’t focus because i was pretty anxious about my work this morning. it really is comforting to know that God is sovereign. on voting, i feel bad because this is the second year i haven’t done it. hahaha. dont throw rocks at me. =)
perhaps give a follow-up call on the status of your application if you’re really interested in the job (I assume you’ve given the appropiate thanks for being given the interview)
