How Can I Keep From Singing Your (God’s) Praise?

Hello, all!

Quick entry tonight!  I promise!

My favorite song on Chris Tomlin’s new album, See the Morning, is “How Can I Keep From Singing Your Praise.”  If you don’t hear it in the background (like you all should! j/k), you can listen to it here.  Please purchase the song and/or album if you keep it on your computer’s hard drive for more than 24 hours to continue supporting the work of our brothers and sisters in Christ.  The additional tracks on the “Special Edition” album (this is one of them…it’s the acoustic version of track 1 on the “regular” CD) are totally worth it!  I was wrong in earlier saying that they were only available through Family Christian Stores.  The “Live Worship” CD that came with my See the Morning (Special Edition) pre-order purchase was what was exclusive to Family Christian Stores.

Here are the lyrics to this wonderful song (thanks to Hugh Chou @ www.hughchou.org)!  This song is based off a similarly-titled hymn that Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman decided to “mod.”

How Can I Keep From Singing Your Praise
There is an endless song
Echoes in my soul
I hear the music ring
And though storms may come
I am holding on
To the rock I cling

How can I keep from singing Your praise?
How can I ever say enough?
How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name?
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing

I will lift my eyes
In the darkest night
For I know my Savior lives
And I will walk with You
Knowing You see me through
And sing the songs You give

How can I keep from singing Your praise?
How can I ever say enough?
How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name?
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing

I can sing in the troubled times
Sing when I win
I can sing when I lose my step
And I fall down again

I can sing ’cause You pick me up
Sing ’cause You’re there
I can sing ’cause You hear me, Lord
When I call to You in prayer

I can sing with my last breath
Sing for I know
That I’ll sing with the angels
And the saints around the throne

How can I keep from singing Your praise?
How can I ever say enough?
How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name?
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart
I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart
I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing

On the job front, I interviewed with Edmunds.com last Thursday for their Incentives & Rebates Data Editor position.  I’ll find out at the end of the week if I got the position.  Please pray not that I’ll get the job, but for whatever would give God the most glory would totally come to fruition.  I am hoping that getting the job is within His plan, but I ultimately He is in control and that’s all that really matters.

I thought this was really cool!  I’ve actually met one of the supposed fourteen (other than myself)!

Only 174 Jonathan Bates in the USA. Very shocking. I guess there would be more in the UK. I shall pray for exactly what you have requested. God be praised forever and ever!

this is a good song.  i usually don’t like music backgrounds in xangas … but yours is always the exception.  you always have good music.  none of that techno/hip hop business.  =)
