It’s been way too long since I last posted!

Please pray for my sister, Leilani!  You can read about what is going on with her here.

Cliff Notes® version:
1) My computer’s motherboard (I think.  For those who are curious, it is an ABIT NF7-S 1.0) took a dump on me early last week after about 2-1/2 years of faithful service
2) I spent four days in training for a new dealer management software (DMS) my dealership (Pacific BMW – http://www.pacificbmw.com – shameless plug) will be switching to in November.  I loved being out of the office for a little bit and also the opportunity to actually apply stuff I learned in college there.  Our operations manager has been really cool in letting me get fairly involved with some of the things going on as we implement it!
3) I took “Devoted Dan” (the 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan I drive) in for his 33,750 mile oil change on Saturday morning at Irvine Subaru (http://www.irvinesubaru.com).  When I came in, I told the service advisor, Rich, that the car’s brake fluid was flushed and tires were rotated even though I stated not to perform those two things on the 30,000 mile service back in July.  I didn’t want them done because the brake fluid was a high boiling point race-type fluid (Motul RBF 600) and my tires had only about 1,000 miles on them.  Rich kind of remembered that I asked specifically for those not to be done and he said he’d comp that day’s oil change!  SCORE!  What a pleasant surprise!  Major props to Irvine Subaru!!!
4)  I got a new AMD(!) Athlon 64 3400+ CPU and ASUS K8N-E Deluxe motherboard on Saturday morning (finally got it pretty much all up and running tonight…its BIOS got semi-messed up when I flashed to a newer revision BIOS on Sunday night…still waiting for ASUS tech support to respond to my inquiry).

“President” (Reggie) Bush was in action at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum last Saturday night.  He helped the USC Trojans defeat the Arkansas Razorbacks, 70-17, in their 2005 season home opener.  This Saturday, they’ll be at Autzen Stadium taking on the University of Oregon Ducks at 4:00 PM on ABC.  FIGHT ON!  BEAT THE DUCKS!!!

FYI: Casting Crowns will be at UCI’s Bren Events Center on Sunday, October 2, 2005.  Who wants to go?!

I’ll be doing laps around the place below (the Streets of Willow Springs if the picture doesn’t load) all day on Friday!   I still would like to have a photographer if someone with free time and the proper hardware wants to go.

Had an ABIT mobo once, and it fried within a year and a half. Replaced it with an Asus and never had a problem. Cool, you work at a BMW dealership? How come not a Suby dealership? 😛 You have to explain us why you named your car “Devoted Dan.” :)I’ll keep you’re sister in my prayers.
