Go Karting!

Riverside, CA 92509

Here’s the plan.  I will head out to Riverside to go karting on Sunday after I’m done with my Teacher Training Program class at 4:30 PM.  I’m aiming to get out to the track around 5:30 to 6:00 PM.  My offer still stands to all my high school seniors from church – I’m buying if you’re interested!  The provision is that you need to be over 18 (and at least 4’8″) or have your parent/legal guardian come along.  The price to race the full track is $35.00.  The more people who can come and join me, the more fun I think we’d all have!  I’m excited because I’ve never been to Adam’s before and I heard it’s way better than Dromo1!  Note: Closed-toe shoes are a MUST!!!

Rules & Regulations.
Racing karts requires knowing and following all of Race-A-Kart’s rules and regulations. These exist for your safety. Never forget; outdoor kart racing is real. Accidents are possible. The only fun racing is safe racing. You can greatly increase your fun and safety by listening to Race-A-Kart staff instructions, paying attention to flags and lights on the track, and not driving aggressively or beyond your ability level. As you will be required to sign a liability waiver stating you have read and agree to abide by these regulations, we ask that you familiarize yourself with all of them at your earliest convenience.

Regulations.

  • You must sign a full release and waiver of liability regarding possible injury to race. If you are under 18 years of age, your accompanying parent or legal guardian must sign for you.
  • All children and adults must be at least 56” in height to race in our “Arrive & Drive” racing format.
  • You must be a licensed driver 18 years or older to race, unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Proper dress is required – By this we mean comfortable clothing (casual pants are recommended) but NO OPEN TOED SHOES. We’ll provide the rest.

On a different note, my church men’s small group started Don’t Waste Your Life by John Piper.  Just about everything in the book makes me think about the song “Much of You” off Steven Curtis Chapman’s All Things New album.  If you’ve read and/or are a little familiar with this book, please listen closely.  May you be inspired to make much of Jesus…make much of His love, mercy, and cross!!!

“Steven Curtis Chapman – Much of You”
How could I stand here
And watch the sun rise
Follow the mountains
Where they touch the sky
Ponder the vastness
And the depths of the sea
And think for a moment
The point of it all was to make
Much of me
Cause I’m just a whisper
And You are the thunder and …

Chorus
I want to make much of You, Jesus
I want to make much of Your love
I want to live today and give You the
praise
That You alone are so worthy of
I want to make much of Your mercy
I want to make much of Your cross
I give You my life
Take it and let it be used
To make much of You

And how can I kneel here
And think of the cross
The thorns and the whip and the
Nails and the spear
The infinite cost
To purchase my pardon
And bear all my shame
To think I have anything worthy boasting in
Except for Your name
Cause I am a sinner
And You are the Savior and…

Chorus

This is Your love, oh, God
Not to make much of me
But to send Your own Son
So that we could make much of You
For all eternity

Chorus
