My last post was so self-centered…

There are definitely more important things and people in this world than me.

I was totally convicted by the Holy Spirit of how much and how often I limit God’s love to me and the people I consciously care about.  His love extends well beyond you and me.  Let’s live lives that truly reflect with a belief and conviction that His love reaches to the heavens, His faithfulness stretches to the skies, His righteousness is like the mighty moutains (YEEESS!!!), His justice flows like the ocean’s tides (Psalm 36, mainly verses 5 and 6, NIV)

Thank You, Lord, for opening my eyes and heart again to Your heart and soul for people in this world–not just people I know, but all people who are created in Your image and valuable and precious to You.

Lately, I ‘ve been thinking of the song “My World View” by Audio Adrenaline from their album Don’t Censor Me (©1995 ForeFront Records).  I just bought from iTunes.  This is the first song I’ve ever purchased off iTunes.  Quick ‘n’ easy!

My World View

I want to see the world through Jesus’ eyes
See through Jesus’ tears
I want to see the world through Jesus’ eyes
My vision’s not as clear
I want to feel the world with the hands that made it
Know the pain and appreciate it
Hear the cries and I hope to understand

Chorus 1
My world view
It’s how I see the world
It’s how I look at You
My world view
It’s how I see the world
Would you like to see it too?
My world view

I want to place my foot upon the Rock
The Rock that doesn’t move
For upon the Rock the Kingdom’s built
And here’s the Kingdom view
I see creation and I see Adam’s fall
I see through the years and I can see it all
All things come together for the good

Chorus 2
My world view
(I can see, I can see forever)
It’s how I see the world
It’s how I look at You
My world view
It’s how I see the world
Would you like to see it too?
My world view
(I can see, I can see forever)
It’s how I see the world
Would you like to see it too?
My world view

Coming into view, coming into view, coming into full view

Chorus 3
My world view
(I can see, I can see forever)
It’s how I see the world
It’s how I look at You
My world view
(Coming into view, coming into view)
It’s how I see the world
Would you like to see it too?
My world view
(I can see, I can see forever)
It’s how I see the world
It’s how I look at You
My world view
(Coming into view, coming into view)
It’s how I see the world
Would you like to see it too?
My world view
(I can see, I can see forever)
It’s how I see the world
Would you like to see it too?
My world view
(Coming into view, coming into view…)

Let’s see what else has gone on this weekend…

Mark (Prior) got lit up like a Christmas tree/the Fourth of July by the Houston Astros today/yesterday (Sunday).  He gave up a grand slam (on an 0-2 count) to Mike Lamb and a 3-run home run (HR) to Adam Everett.  He is now 3-1 with a 3.75 ERA.

Subaru World Rally Team’s Petter Solberg finished 2nd in this weekend’s Rally Italia Sardinia.  Unfortunately, his main rival in the championship, Citroen’s (French automobile manufacturer) Sebastian Loeb, won the race to take the lead in the 2005 world rally driver’s championship by 1 point over Petter after 5 of 17 rounds in this year’s World Rally Championship.

That song applies to my school. I always try to see the kids through His eyes, but it’s hard. That song is HIM!
