My Auntie Karen in Hawai’i (dad’s sister) celebrated her birthday yesterday (March 15)!  She also just purchased a 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan (press photo shown above) to replace her Toyota Celica GT!

Above is a picture of the 2004 (Japanese Domestic Market, or JDM) Subaru Impreza WRX STi Spec C taken at the Nurburgring Nordschleife in Germany.  Each lap at this track is almost 13 miles long and 73 turns!  In 2004, this car in stock form turned a lap of 7:59.41 around the ‘Ring.  Earlier tonight (March 15, 2005), I set out to accomplish the same feat in Gran Turismo 4 (GT4) using the same car at the same track. After almost 90 minutes of hard “work” and concentration, I was able to reel off a best lap of 7:59.386!  Note: my lap was achieved using a rolling start instead of a standing start, however the car and track depictions in GT4 may not necessarily be 100% accurate. Notice here (GTPlanet.net’s Nurburgring Nordschleife real-life vehicle lap time database) how well the Subaru Impreza WRX STi Spec C compares to some of the finest automobiles ever created.

If you could experience any time in history, when would it be?
I finished reading the book of Matthew on Monday night.  As I was reading Matthew 28, I thought, “It must’ve been so awesome for people to be with Jesus after He resurrected!”  I came to the conclusion that for me personally, that would be the greatest period of time I’d like to imagine traveling back to experience.  I don’t know if I would have like to have been around during His crucifixion.  I  doubt it to be honest.  Just imagine how cool it’d be to see someone who was dead now alive and well right before your very eyes, much less your Lord and Savior!  It also reminds me of how awesome it will be to see our dearly departed again when we enter into His presence and see each other in heaven while all joining together to worship the King!

Church prayer meeting tonight at 7:30 PM in room 214!  Ryan Chan and Lisa Lee will be sharing their testimonies of their experience at our church tonight as well!

I like the windy road behind the car.
I would live during the Civil War/ abolisitionist movement and write for the anti-slavery movement.
