I think one of the things God wants me to currently be in my life is a light into the world known as Subaru and BMW car enthusiasts in particular (of course this is in addition to being a light of His to all).  For a more detailed explanation, please IM or e-mail me, or ask me in person.

“Devoted Dan”, a.k.a. “Double D”, got upgraded from Saturday afternoon all the way until Sunday morning (installation was completed around 4:45 AM…I was hoping it’d be done around 9-10 PM Saturday night so I could make Fairway game night!).  At the same time, it was cool meeting other Subaru owners who obviously weren’t believers and talking to them about cars and racing (mostly champ and indy car racing…NOT NASCAR).  For those who may not know, the main reason I named my car “Dan” or “Daniel” was because the name means “God is my judge”, and that He most definitely is!  Aerosim Research, Ltd. – (714) 545-5679, Stephen Ramm, who is Aerosim Research, is a former employee of Dan Gurney’s All-American Racers champ car team and Swift Engineering – and a few other guys performed the install on Dan.  They installed Prodrive springs, STi Group N strut tops, Subaru 4-pot front/2-pot rear brakes and Goodridge stainless steel brake lines.

When all is said and done

-Less body roll when turning and less nose dive when braking
-Increased rear brake bias
-Better brake pedal feel
-Ride quality isn’t that much harsher!

I know the main function of an automobile is to get a person or persons from point A to point B.  Driving a fun car like the Subaru Impreza WRX sedan definitely puts a <bsg> (big stupid grin)  on my face at times.  Yet as much pleasure as driving or whatever else your favorite hobbies may be, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I still MUST say that:

Nothing compares to the greatness of knowing You, Lord (Oh no!) 2x

And I find myself just living for today
‘Cause I don’t know what tomorrow’s gonna bring
So no matter if I rise or fall
I’ll never be alone
I know…

Nothing compares to the greatness of knowing You, Lord (Oh no!) 2x

Philippians 3:7-10 (New American Standard Bible)

7But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ.
8More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ,
9and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,
   10that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;

As much of a blast driving can be, I want you all to know that there is NOTHING better than knowing the Holy Lord God Almighty!  Absolutely nothing!  And there’s nothing better than praising Him and giving Him all the glory!  And that’s the bottom line ’cause His Word says so!

For those (few) of you in the LA area who would like to see a FREE concert by Rodney Branigan, please check him out Wednesday night at The Joint (Pico & Robertson) 8pm-9pm.  This will be an 18 and over show.  Rodney will be the first performer.  God has blessed this fellow believer with AMAZING talent.  The only time I’ve seen him perform was during my senior year at USC at a Campus Crusade for Christ fellowship meeting.  The man plays with two guitars (and a tambourine) simultaneously like you’ve nothing ever seen or heard!

Video clips of Rodney (dial-up users, don’t even try to touch these links with a stick/10-foot pole!)
Windows Media Video format (58 MB) MPEG format (40 MB)

Pray now!  It’s a lost art.  Get your day on the way!!!
